READING GED PREPARATION
The Oak Park Career Center offers training in many of the basic skills needed to help you obtain employment and enhance your employability. We have facilities that cover assessment and progress to a working knowledge of the necessary skills. - |

Our training is conducted by a state-certified teacher who oversees individualized hands-on instruction in current software applications. This individualized instruction includes various media such as videotapes and interactive cd-roms as well as working directly on the computer. There are facilities for improving your typing skills. |

- Math and reading skills are taught at all levels. English as a second language and life skills are also part of the curriculum. Our computer lab has programs to address these topics to enhance the individualized instruction. For those wishing to obtain a GED, we provide GED preparation which includes assessments and tests with a comprehensive program of graduated skill lessons. |
